Musa Resuljani graduated from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service with a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. He has experience working primarily with Individuals and families in private-practice, hospital-based settings and within the child-welfare system. He specializes in working with adults with depression, anxiety, and complex trauma/PTSD. He has completed post-graduate certification In Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR-PT) and Complex Trauma (CCTP-II)
Musa engages all of his clients in a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally competent manner. His approach to psychotherapy draws heavily from mindfulness, acceptance, and self-compassion based models. He also draws from memory reconsolidation models such as EMDR and IFS. Musa's goal for his clients to assist them in resolving barriers to establishing a clear sense of self, personal values, and living authentically.
Musa was born and raised in Staten Island, New York and is a first generation American from an Albanian-immigrant family. Grappling with depression early in life, Musa himself experienced the rich benefits of psychotherapy and through this has developed a strong passion and commitment to helping others.
